Haha sorry I couldn't resist poking fun at the "VCE pool," (which no doubt will be mentioned 2moz @ assembly, followed by the snickering of bout 300 students at the pure lameness, but you gotta admit, it IS very baggable ^^ lol
Ok, so this is it people. Tomorrow marks is yet another chapter of schooling, with one slight difference of course; it’s our last @ Glenny. I see a couple of people already cringing at your desk scattered with that ALMOST finished homework, a stack of books/folders/paper threatening to squash you if you sneeze too loud and music playing in the background, a common sight to all of us no doubt :P But time waits for no one.
They say the hardest thing in yr 12 is not learning/relearning (as some ppl luv doing :P) the subjects (though those doing spesh etc.... may beg to differ,) but it is to keep motivated and positive throughout the year. True, I have had (possibly more) my fair share of stumbles, falls and have sometimes struggled to climb back up, scared of falling down again. But I get up anyway. Success isn't measured by the mark scribbled on your SAC, or how well you faired against your peers, despite how crappy you feel at the time (trust me i noe this feeling way too well) or what the VCE system depicts; think of it as a learning process. Failing at whatever it may be, from keeping a promise to a mere test, is a painful experience. But wallowing in failure and losing your chance to improve or change hurts even more. Stressing over what we fear for tomorrow is pointless and plain depressing in some cases. For we don't KNOW what will happen. That's y it's called the 'future.' Unpredictable. Frightening. Exciting. Unknown - until today becomes yesterday and tomorrow becomes today.
So as we prepare to embark on this remarkable journey, time will pass in a blink of an eye. I highly doubt many would srsly take the time to reflect in this hectic time where we have 2 remember all those damn formulas, dates, names, techniques or definitions, I hope we all still have room to remember to smile so that it may brighten up either your, or at the very least someone elses day (it is contagious after all - try it! :) Remember to laugh at yourself or at the pure randomness/classic LOL moments you find everyday, remember to be humble in times of joy and brave in times of fear, to look out for your friends, to have some fun (go to a couple of 18ths but hell no am I driving any1 home after! Lol jks jks :P) Remember that you are not alone, and possibly most of all, remember WHY you're doing this - for yourself, not for your parents nor the school, you. Our time to shine has finally come and we, only we, can determine our outcomes. To put everything we care to offer, whether it be everything of your being, or just part of it so you can retain at least some sanity :P (joking joking) We can not put more than what we have. So stop fretting and be proud of what you DO have and CAN offer :)
Anyway, in preperation of re-programming to get up/drag myself up again @ 7am, I'm prepraing for bed, so I'll see all you guys tomorrow then! :) (Bright and early for some :P even though it IS at 11....haha)
