Stripped from our daggy mediocre school uniforms, all 300 odd of the year 12 co-hort was literally transformed. It's amazing how a great dress, well fitted suit and excited smiles can make us look so....different. All the girls looked like beautiful princesses frocked up with both sparkling jewelry and eyes, and guys like fine men not mere boys :P lol, it's the suit I tell you! Besides, I have the pictures and memories to prove it ^^

Ok I was running a LIL late at the start before the limo arrived, since Annie, Pricilla, Gary and Jason had rocked up at my place before I was fully ready :S Oops….and SOME PPL even tried to coax me out of my room before I was ready *ahem* Thank God I have a lock on my door :P But geez, seeing them crowded at my door gave me a lil surprise when I stepped out. And so begins our night of camera hoaring and posing :) When the other 4 arrived we clambered into the AWESOME looking sleek black Ferrari door Chrysler Limousine fully equipped wif karaoke ;) Ah, what a great first time in a limo, haha. Within an hr of fiddling with lights, toasting each other with champagne glasses of ‘vodka’ (or more commonly known as water,) pumping music full volume and and special mention to MJ, Clarence n Calvin’s sharing of talent, it was time – time to make our grand entrance. Though MJ might've been a lil too excited since he got out the limo a TINY bit early, i.e. when it was still moving! Lol. And no, he did not get run over as some ppl suggested :P
The venue was SO much better than last yrs! But I suppose we paid for it with our, let's say....average DJ. But hey, we even managed to get the guys to jump for us and get balloons :) (though sometimes we were dangerously close to knocking down the chandeliers....^^") lol release the inner child! Growing old is inevitable, but growing up is optional :P I swear the first 30 minz or so were a workout for my check muscles and eyes went a lil weird -.-" Try smiling non-stop, taking picture after picture WITH FLASHES EVERYWHERE. Oh well, it was worth it (shown below) :)
The rest of the night seemed to pass as if it were a dream, filled with dancing (go breaking!) and yes, even more camera hoaring in diff locations (e.g. balcony and even the toilets o.0) Ah, so many memorable moments and unforgettably priceless memories ^^ So when all too soon the clock struck 12 (lol) our last song for the night was played as we begun to disperse into the night, still very much on a high, some with high heels in hand and suits n ties a lil disheveled, but nevertheless still smiling that same wide smile.
After all, since Annie, Pricilla and I slept over at my place, we were still high(ish) and decided to stay up. Well not before we detached ourselves from our dresses (who knew there were so many pins involved....hazardous :S) and rugged up in PJ's and blankets ^^ So the early hours of the morning were used to watch the "dirty minded option" movie of 40 year old virgin ^^" lol don't ask how we got to that....but we (well most of us ;)) did manage to stake it out to round 3-4am until we realized we still had school the next day >.> Haha so now I suppose I'll just bombard you wif some pics of the night :)

p.s. most are still on fb btw! Email me if you want me to send you some pics or vice versa :)
p.p.s. ppl beat the pandemic of CBSness and upload your photoes! :P haha I need to fill up that empty space on my wall with SOME pics :P And my camera carked it mid way through the night -.-" I may or may not have overworked it a lil in the first half of the night....

Btw, since it's so rare to get a day to do the things you want (whether that's drama-ing, shopping, gaming, sleepin till 1pm or chilling,) I've compiled some short para's I wrote n a couple of quotes I really liked to hopefully inspire or b a lighthouse when a bleak haze refuses to leave:

SUCCESS
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success.Ralph Waldo Emerson
Success in life is a matter not so much of talent or opportunity as of concentration and perseverance.C. W. Wendte
Success is a journey, not a destination. As much as we like to aim for that highest ranking, that highest status, or highest pay, it isn't about finally getting there(though it would b great) one learns far more on the path to their dreams, to the stars, then standing up there when you get there. There are infinite definitions to success, (n many other words) but its presence can mean happiness, its absence desperation. We all strive for it, but few realize that for the vine to grow and stretch towards the sun, it's the fruit they bear on it's way that make it truly beautiful and worthy.

RISK
Life is a risk itself. For to laugh is to risk appearing the fool. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out for another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self. To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk their loss. To love is to risk not being loved in return. To live is to risk dying. To hope is to risk despair. To fly is to risk falling. To try is to risk failure. But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. One who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing and therefore is nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, live. A man whose life is without risk, forfeits his freedom.

PERSERVERANCE
When you get in a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.Harriet Beecher Stowe
This years all about perseverance. To say: Ok, no matter what, I'm going to do what I want to do, I'm going to fulfill my dreams and am going to do whatever I need to make it happen. I'm not going lose faith or hope, because I know I can do it. Cause' if everyone else can, then I can too. Whatever life throws at me, to be successful is to keep standing up after falling down. Through tears, smiles, tantrums and fear, I will, I can persevere.

HOPE
Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible. Hope is that ray of light that helps success grow in the fertile soil of hard work and determination. Hope, is simply there, no matter buried how deep, during the darkest times in life. As I said before, to hope is to risk disappointment. But without it, life would already be a disappointment, and we would be forever lost in the dark shadows of lost faith. So by holding this candle of flickering but omnipresent light and risking the possibility of being burnt, is it not better to see the light and feel its warmth, then never lighting it in fear of maybe losing it?

KINDNESS
The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.William Wordsworth

So smile at a stranger, donate to those lil boxes for charity, help a friend in need, or make someone laugh. You never noe, you could've made someone's crappy day a whole lot better, even if for the briefest moment. But sometimes a moment is all we need.

Friendship:

"Friendship multiplies the good of life and divides the evil." -- Baltasar Gracian
I honestly don't noe what I would do without my friends. They make me stronger, give me support, a laugh, a hug, a chance. Friends truly make life a lot more fun, a lot more bearable, a lot more happy, so hold them tight and never forget the ones that are always there, the ones that make an imprint in ur mind and soul, the ones that change you for the better, for good friends are hard to come by.

Ok, wow, it’s been a while since I last updated ^^” Guess there's just been so much going on (*cough exams and UTTER FAILING THEM cough*) but anyway.... As a brief update for the short attention spanned 21st century person, here's a summary:
1. MID YRS ARE FINALLY OVER! Haha it's something I'm sure we've all been looking forward to ^^ The pure look of RELIEF and joy on every1's faces just shows how strong willed all of us are to stick it out, despite whatever life (or vcaa) throws at us. Now for more important issues....e.g. going to see Wicked! n the formal :) hehehe
2. Swine flu is now a pandemic in Australia -.-" Ok, so it's a new strain of the COMMON flu, but srsly ppl, GROW SOME BRAINS AND GUTS. Damn the media for blowing the SO out of proportion and freaking people out so much by plastering it wif some fancy name. But by no means am I hypocritical of the government for being cautious, I fully support ALL Victorians to be hygienic (not that u shouldn't already but meh....) and have some social manners (e.g. cover ur damn mouth when you cough.) Just, well, STOP FREAKING OUT! Simple right? It's no more dangerous than the common flu that claim the lives of MILLIONS around the world every year, compared to round 150, we even have Relenza and Tamiflu that work just as well with in curing swine flu.
They obviously don't know stress can weaken immune system, but better not tell this to the media or they'll spread it like wild fire ;)
3. Life can be truly wonderful.
4. Other times, it can just suck.
5. There IS a sense of such indescribable strength, and hope, in all of us. It may just need some coaxing at times....

There's so much I'm looking forward to, yet at the same time, so much I'm dreading. But time is inevitable, so I guess now is all we have. The past is history, the future is a mystery. But now, the present, is the gift all we have, but few cherish.

The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it. - Michelangelo
