Ok is it just me today or has everyone just seemed....drained? Although this is from a biased perspective as it hasn't been exactly the best of days today for me too....And a particular incident/s didn't help either -.-" But a lot of the people that I've talked to today were simply....I guess tired from either lack of sleep, (srsly ppl 4 hrs is NOT enough, or even 7 for that matter :P) motivation or other issues non school related, since life (despite seeming like it this yr) doesn't fully revolve around school alone :P
Just after last period today I swear I felt as if everything, the world, the work, those damned uncertainties of the past, present or future just all came crashing down on my shoulders, scattered at my feet....Have you ever tried to smile but only ended up with a twitch of the lips? Ever tried to try to look for an answer, but found seemingly not even a glimmer of light in amongst the darkness? Ever tried to try and understand something but just end up with more questions? Yeah....
But surprisingly, later on in the night, by simply talking to some friends, whether on msn or in person, sharing a laugh, a smile or just pure randomness, something changed. I don't know exactly what, but chips of my boulder of problems seem to be falling away and carried away with the wind.
It may sound stupid now, because trust me if someone said this to me when I was like that before, I would've literally wanted to slap them, but just know this: this too shall and will pass.
Keep this in mind and it will keep you solemn in times of joy, and hopeful in times of pain/sorrow, because after all, this too will pass.
Tomorrow's another day, another chance. So embrace it and try to let go of today's worries to accept tomorrow's challenges. A challenge does not necessarily have to be insurmountable. It is called a hurdle after all since you CAN jump over it. All you need to do is know why you're doing this. You might need a boost, but look around and you'll see plenty who will be willing to help. Just try.
Oh and ok since by request (lol o.0) here's just a random motivation quote that will hopefully keep your spirits high:
" No man ever woke up on the top of the mountain; he awakened one day and started his climb."
Besides, what you did yesterday is who you are, what you merely imagine you'll do is what you'll never become, what you ACTUALLY do tomorrow, is who you will be. :)

Bright and early I went to Daniel Christians "worship" with Annie and Pricilla, a time before breakfast where we sang songs of praise and shared God's word. A brave proposal to hold it at camp since quite a few ppl just peered in wondering what the hell we were doing, but would you "rather make a fool of your friends and see them later, or leave them to fall into the depths of Hell and never see them again?" Anyway, lectures occupied the first half of the day, where we learnt that we all had REALLY tense shoulders, or that we're all so dirty minded (including the guy making the speech!) LOL since everything the guy spoke about was taken COMPLETELY the wrong context! Haha what a classic way to end a speech....Though some talks weren't all that interesting since every1 literally slept through the "Guided Imagery" lecture -.-" Aka Sleeping 101 - pillow and towel/sleeping bag so your ass doesn't hurt when lying down in the gym. Essentially, we just lay there, eyes closed, listening to Mrs. Culling drone on about going a journey where "we cross a bridge, picture a shining diamond....you are in a beautiful garden...." Etc.... and that's literally all I remember since I kinda dozed off ^^" hey at least I wasn't snoring like some ppl :P LOL Also, on a spur of the moment thing, our cabin (aka Me, Pricilla, Annie, Fi, Mickey n Jiin) minus PriScilla who was manning the video camera, and Mickey who was our awesome conductor :) decided to sing 1000 miles by Vanessa Carlton, a classic but a goody :) (eh which I still have in my head in random times) But that was later on.... First of all, another group of us was ushered down to the beach, but this time Me, Pricilla, Mickey and Annie decided to take advantage of the pool which had a much less saltier aftertaste. Again, water fights were a MUST and we also got Ms. Rose ^^ hehehe. And we played Marco Polo! Haha so long since I've played that game....though your NOT meant 2 open your eyes when being Marco! LOL (we can still see you looking :P haha) But after more people came, the game altered into some diving game which has no name that I know of, but basically you hide something and every1 tries to find it. Kiera kindly offered to sacrifice her precious AFL Melbourne tag since Mr. Gray wouldn't offer to give up his plastic chair as per Steph's suggestion. But damn should've bought goggles like some of the guys *cough Ren cough* who had much of an advantage over us :P haha oh well.
Reminder: Use Aerogaurd next time I'm on camp -.-"
Since our performing group basically got like 10 mozzie bites each (especially Annie since mozzie's really seem to like her blood :P haha jks) while we were practicing outside (bad idea) after dinner. So there we were practicing our song and hopping and scratching while each singing our parts. o.0 Quite a funny sight now that I think bout it, though the itchiness was damn annoying -.-"
But as I said, def one of the best highlights of the camp was Review night! ^^ Where every1's talent had a time to shine and share, also a time that we found out that Mr. Penso would turn gay for Roodenburg....*shudder* and that his hair was "just like this" *points to semi bald head....” skin colored hair o.0 hmm i wonder....LOL and for those who were there, I pity anyone who has to endure a years worth of Imam's LAME jokes LOL. Beg to differ? Take this as an example....ask him about "I lost my harp at sand crab disco...." Prepare to be utterly shocked by the pure lameness….he might even sing it if you're lucky (or unlucky) like us :P hahaha. Oh and our song? Well after enjoying every1 else's performance, (we were 2nd last) can I say that my girls Pricilla, Annie, Fi, Mickey, Jiin and Melody on piano fricken ROCKED ^^ Haha, well we did manage to get every1 singing along ^^ The buzz was indescribable. Seeing everyone smiling and joining in like that was simply amazing. Shall post up a link of the song very soon, or the performance when it's out :) So keep an eye out! Lmao oh yeh, the rest of the night after review night was hilarious LOL the ppl in our cabin know what I'm talking about :P But we also attempted to play mahjong by torchlight before getting busted and trying to help Jasmine and Melody run back to their cabin without tripping over the random rabbits that were running everywhere :P
But all in all, despite no nudie runs this yr :P I still had an awesome time @ Cowes! ^^ It is these times that we share that make it count and mean so much. It is these memories that will live on forever. It is these photos and recordings that remind us of whom we are and who we were. It is this time together that shapes our friendships and future. When I came back, I felt something change, felt more "bonded" I suppose :P I could place even more names on those faces I see everyday in those red jumpers. I could tell you something about most as I've learnt so much about these people we are to share the rest of our lives with being the class of 2009. It is these people who make our year. Together, we will leave our mark. :) P.s. Soz for the long blog but so much did happen :P oh and every1 please try to post your photos on either fb or skool intranet.
Btw COMMENTS NOW AVAILABLE thanks Moni for the reminder :)

So I just came back from Cowes camp yesterday and after a rejuvenating nights sleep (unlike the past 3 days where we've stayed up ^^) this is definitely an experience worth remembering since....
COWES CAME WAS AWESOME!!!! ^^
Ah so much fun and good times....and contrary to belief we actually didn't drink that much milk :P (haha Mr. Yang's jokes still live on....) Oh did I mention that Lodge 5 - Annie, Pricilla H, Mickey, Fi, PriScilla (haha yeh it can get a bit confusing since Pricilla Wu was nxt door :P) Jiin and I - rocks! ^^
16/02/09
So early in the morn, despite having to wait an additional hour before the buses actually came, all 160ish of us (Bradman and Elliot) packed our "essentials" (which to some of us also included hairdryers, kettles - yes the guys bought a kettle to make 2 min noodles, straighteners, water pistols, mini mahjong etc....) under the bus and headed for Cowes.
Anyway skipping all the boring stuff where ppl (namely Izzy :P) already started to feast/share their stash of "Cowes shopping trip" food - aka raiding Safeway before hand for midnight snacks. After arriving at the Christian Youth Camp and having a brief lecture that no1 was really listening to as we were too excited that the place had a pool, giant swing, flying fox, low ropes course, archery AND was close 2 the beach, we did the usual scramble for luggage and dragging it to our various cabins (guys) /lodges (girls). Lodge 5 was pretty good but whoever got lodge 8 was LUCKY AS! (you know who u r....) seriously it was like a flat in there complete with TV, couch and a table that was mahjong worthy :P But hey can't win everything....
Not long after semi unpacking, a group of us got to head down to the beach during rec time :) Accompanied by Mr. Imam, Bramble and Penso, everyone literally ran for the shimmering blue waters (both bcoz it was hot and the sand was seriously burning our feet -.-") which were surprisingly rocky under the water and random ticklish sea weed.... Water fights were a must of course considering it was a mild day with little wind/waves, but all the better for playing ball n dunking and splashing each other with water whilst blinding each other with the sheer saltiness. Camera hoaring was a constant activity throughout the entire camp as everyone (especially damn Bramble and his pro camera taking pics every few moments) as our inner posers were revealed.
Though Bramble DID get a couple good pics, especially of our (the Kev's, DT, me, Annie, Fi, Mickey, Shu-Jiunn, Jiin etc.... and of course poor Eric :P) masterpiece of “Eric the Mermaid” ^^ LOL shall post photo evidence when I find that pic.... But some ppl buried Eric under a massive load of sand and a couple of us helped "shape" his figure/tail :P oh, and of course we can't forget the fake boobs which Emz M helpfully suggested that we should make them "MUCH BIGGER" and so dumped another crap load on :P LOL And guess who came along with the camera.... Yep Bramble was def impressed by our artistic talents, and so we posed with Eric straining his neck to see the camera ^^ Later we continued to just pile on wet sand for the hell of it :P
Oh btw, just a lil tip: When attempting to throw some1 in the water, the sea moves, so actually get CLOSE ENOUGH to the water BEFORE letting go :P
LOL coz this was exactly what happened as the guys tried to wrestle/carry the very sandy Eric into the water, but when they got to the water and dropped/threw him in, the waves withdrew and he just landed in a heap on the wet hard sand! LOL The rest of the time spent at the beach included (more) photos, a lil bit of singing and Frisbee-ness :)
The rest of the day consisted of various lectures (-.-" where some were actually OK, while others were snore worthy and many had to b waken up by Imam or Brambles flash of the camera) dinner, which wasn't actually that bad compared to certain Nayook meals....
btw warning, the following drink should not be attempted unless you're willing to go on a high like Pricilla for the nxt....say....6 hrs?: sugar/coffee/tea/cappuccino/milk/more sugar mixture. Haha yes this now exists and I'm warning you ppl!
oh we also had a role play thing where although our group sucked ^^", we discovered plenty of acts to keep us entertained since A LOT of ppl can do awesome Singaporean/fobby/Indy accents that are hilarious (e.g. Annie pretending 2 b Mr. Lam or Andrea being a typical azn parent), Jesse can swim froggy style in the "VCE pool" *cringes at lame analogy* lol and Mrs. Tsklikisrouwoekrjs (no idea how to spell her name) now has a song - go Kiera's group! ^^ But alas only one group could win, and ironically we all knew who it was....Pricilla's group! Or better known as Alex's debut in his acting careers :P haha nah jks though their play was really good and full of enthusiasm :)
Lol and proof that we've matured/most turning 18 actually means something, our lights out time is now @ 12 ^^ though few actually slept @ this time :P
for those of you too lazy/have a habit of skimming, I've taken the liberty of splitting the post :P haha enjoy :P

So I've/we've survived the first week of year 12 :) And our reactions? Some may have had a rocky start, others one of great success and joy, or there are those who are still adjusting to the redness of our jumpers,(and the suprisingly INSTANT respect we get from others and authority that comes with it :P) our "study" *cough free cough* periods where most succumb to just relaxing/talking to prepare themselves other for classes. But hey, all in all, it's been an good week, granted I've had better and much, much worse, so I'm not complaining (haha as some may beg to differ ^^" but meh just ignore me, a girl needs 2 vent sometimes right? :P jks) Even though it's been but a week, I've seemed to have sampled a taste of what the rest of the year will be like - I've laughed, vented, persisted, bonded, shared, I've seen tears, found and lost hope, and have seemed to learnt something new every moment (and NO it's not merely subject based) Sound tiring? Suppose not, as I'm growing fond and suprisingly excited/fearful of this year - it's just a jumble of emotions atm, but take it one step at a time, the more you pull at a knot, the tighter it gets. Though as things speed up, we'll be growing in leaps and bounds, in mind, body (though some hav already had their growth spurt but I'm not gonna dash their hopes of one day getting taller :P) and spirit :) Though if the mere thought of this year tires you, may I suggest getting some well deserved SLEEP as there seems to be A LOT of sleep deprived ppl, even though the yr's just beginning! And no, sleep is not for the weak, it's for the SANE!
Btw how did every1 cope with todays scorching 46.4 DEGREES -.-" Remember today as the day where you camped out and lived next to the air con, how you, by some miracle, didn't feel lethargic and managed to do your hw/revision, or how you battled the HOT gale force winds if you were brave/dumb enough 2 venture outside since today WAS the hottest day in Melb since....EVER?! Yet ironically as the many dedicated and heroic firefighters of the state are desperatly trying 2 control the fierce flames furiously engulfing our country land, there's serious flooding in QLD and blizzards in England....Welcome the aftermath of global warming I guess >.>
Ok, enough procrastinating now (or as I like to call it "refining my writing via a journal" or blog, close enough - haha well it's eng hol hw :P hehehe)
Stay cool every1 and keep hydrated! lol
When one falls into a pothole of life, you can either cower in doubt and fear of falling again, or you can climb back up and keep on running

Haha sorry I couldn't resist poking fun at the "VCE pool," (which no doubt will be mentioned 2moz @ assembly, followed by the snickering of bout 300 students at the pure lameness, but you gotta admit, it IS very baggable ^^ lol
Ok, so this is it people. Tomorrow marks is yet another chapter of schooling, with one slight difference of course; it’s our last @ Glenny. I see a couple of people already cringing at your desk scattered with that ALMOST finished homework, a stack of books/folders/paper threatening to squash you if you sneeze too loud and music playing in the background, a common sight to all of us no doubt :P But time waits for no one.
They say the hardest thing in yr 12 is not learning/relearning (as some ppl luv doing :P) the subjects (though those doing spesh etc.... may beg to differ,) but it is to keep motivated and positive throughout the year. True, I have had (possibly more) my fair share of stumbles, falls and have sometimes struggled to climb back up, scared of falling down again. But I get up anyway. Success isn't measured by the mark scribbled on your SAC, or how well you faired against your peers, despite how crappy you feel at the time (trust me i noe this feeling way too well) or what the VCE system depicts; think of it as a learning process. Failing at whatever it may be, from keeping a promise to a mere test, is a painful experience. But wallowing in failure and losing your chance to improve or change hurts even more.
Stressing over what we fear for tomorrow is pointless and plain depressing in some cases. For we don't KNOW what will happen. That's y it's called the 'future.' Unpredictable. Frightening. Exciting. Unknown - until today becomes yesterday and tomorrow becomes today.
So as we prepare to embark on this remarkable journey, time will pass in a blink of an eye. I highly doubt many would srsly take the time to reflect in this hectic time where we have 2 remember all those damn formulas, dates, names, techniques or definitions, I hope we all still have room to remember to smile so that it may brighten up either your, or at the very least someone elses day (it is contagious after all - try it! :) Remember to laugh at yourself or at the pure randomness/classic LOL moments you find everyday, remember to be humble in times of joy and brave in times of fear, to look out for your friends, to have some fun (go to a couple of 18ths but hell no am I driving any1 home after! Lol jks jks :P) Remember that you are not alone, and possibly most of all, remember WHY you're doing this - for yourself, not for your parents nor the school, you. Our time to shine has finally come and we, only we, can determine our outcomes. To put everything we care to offer, whether it be everything of your being, or just part of it so you can retain at least some sanity :P (joking joking) We can not put more than what we have. So stop fretting and be proud of what you DO have and CAN offer :)
Anyway, in preperation of re-programming to get up/drag myself up again @ 7am, I'm prepraing for bed, so I'll see all you guys tomorrow then! :) (Bright and early for some :P even though it IS at 11....haha)
~Life is a majestic song, so listen to the music in play, and don’t wait for merely the finale.
